Pastor Louis Russell, II

Grace and peace be unto you all! It is with a heart filled with gratitude and excitement that I extend warm greetings to each of you. My name is Pastor Louis Russell, and I am humbled and honored to serve as the shepherd of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Scotlandville in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Our church is not just a place of worship; it is a spiritual home where we come together as a loving and supportive family to grow in faith and serve our community. Over the years, Mt. Zion has been a beacon of hope, a center of spiritual growth, and a source of inspiration for countless lives. I am eager to continue this legacy and, with your support, build upon it as we move forward.

As we embark on this journey together, I want to emphasize the importance of faith, unity, and community. Our church is more than just a building; it's a place where we can connect with God and one another, a place where we can find solace in times of trouble and celebrate in times of joy.
I am committed to leading our congregation in deepening our relationship with God, growing in our understanding of His Word, and actively living out our faith in the world. Together, we will explore new opportunities for spiritual growth, community outreach, and fellowship.
I invite you to join me on this exciting chapter in the history of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Let us come together with open hearts and open minds, ready to be transformed by the power of God's love and grace. As we move forward, please keep our church, our community, and our world in your prayers.
I look forward to getting to know each of you better, serving alongside you, and witnessing the amazing things God has in store for our congregation. If you are new to our church or visiting for the first time, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are here to welcome you with open arms and share the love of Christ.
